Daily Motivational Quotes

“Whether it’s ten minutes or ten miles, it’s worth it!” -Quote on the wall from my local gym

I can’t tell you how much I like this quote! It’s applicable to not only working out, but pretty much everything in life.

If you want to become better at something, whether it’s doing well in school, your career, learning a new language, improving relationships, etc. you have to put work into it!

Obviously, the more time you can commit to something the better the results will be, but success isn’t built in one day! It takes time to get there! If you can only spend ten minutes working and improving something, that’s a lot better than not spending any time on it at all.

Set a goal and gradually work up to it. You can do it!

Comment and let me know what goals you are working on 🙂

Author: Dylan B Nelson

After being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, Avascular Necrosis, Enteropathic Arthritis, and an Atrial Septal Defect, Dylan like so many other people with chronic conditions struggled to manage his health. Being frustrated with the current solutions, Dylan helped create mediswarm.com, a social health network where it's easy to meet other people with the same conditions. Users can ask questions and get real answers, see top solutions for their conditions, and get support from a community of people just like them. Dylan's ultimate goal for MEDI+SWARM is that it can become a resource for individuals who have chronic health conditions to get the help they need and to help improve their overall health outcomes.

  1. It is important for people to establish a functional realistic mindset to accomplish their goals. If the plan of action isn’t a plan that can be maintained (with modifications as needed) forever, there is a high probability of LIMITED SHORT TERM SUCCESS. This is why the “ten minute” portion of the quote is so important. Today, 10 minutes might be realistic; tomorrow it might become 20. As long as it is MAINTAINABLE, it eventually will become a habitual pattern within a living lifestyle. This is the road to LONG TERM SUCCESS.

  2. First let say that I am truly inspired by your blog! It takes courage to speak about the painful things in our lives and be vulnerable about them on the internet. My goals this year are to stress less, remember I am blessed and let God take care of the rest. But that probably should be a life goal! Praying that 2017 will be the best year yet for you and all you do!

    1. Thanks so much for your kind words! That means a lot to me 🙂 It’s very therapeutic for me to talk about these issues, but it was really difficult opening up at first. I hope you have an incredible 2017 and are able to achieve all of your goals! Less stress, remembering you’re blessed, and trusting in God are all great goals! Life is too short to be stressed–it’s always better to bee happy! Just being alive is an amazing blessing. Everything on top of that is extra! You can never go wrong with trusting in God! I hope this is the best year yet, and many more incredible years will follow! 🙂
