About

Dylan B Nelson

Bio: After being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, Avascular Necrosis, Enteropathic Arthritis, and an Atrial Septal Defect, Dylan like so many other people with chronic conditions struggled to manage his health. Being frustrated with the current solutions, Dylan helped create mediswarm.com, a social health network where it's easy to meet other people with the same conditions. Users can ask questions and get real answers, see top solutions for their conditions, and get support from a community of people just like them. Dylan's ultimate goal for MEDI+SWARM is that it can become a resource for individuals who have chronic health conditions to get the help they need and to help improve their overall health outcomes.

  3. It’s an honor Dylan to have you following my blog. Thank you. As a nutritional counselor I don’t believe in gimmicks. Working for doctors, I enjoyed learning why people eat as they do and unraveling the fallacies about what they perceive and follow. I believe in eating for nutrients to keep our body working like the great machine we were uniquely created to be. As I read your posts, I’m thinking you do too? Looking forward to getting to know you better! Blessings back, Ellie

  4. Dylan, I just wanted to say this is a really great and much needed thing you are doing. I had never really had a network that was my age and “real talk”, so I really appreciate you following my blog and I look forward to reading your posts! It definitely takes being brave and positive to share these kinds of stories, but it is a great thing way to show people there is an end to those rough days, because I’ve definitely been there. I wish you the best of luck wherever this may take you!

    1. Thank you so much for your kind comment! It really does mean a lot to me! It’s really hard having Crohn’s disease or any chronic disease and trying to deal with school, socializing, etc. I’m hoping mediswarm can help be a place where can really talk to other people like yourself about what is going on! I hope you are doing well, and I can’t wait to read more of your blog (wordpress says your blog is unavailable, just fyi). We all go through struggles and rough times, but if we stick with it and keep fighting we end up a little stronger. Thanks again for all of your positive comments! You made my night ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope all is well ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. I’ve had friends with Crohn’s disease and I’ve got diabetes and haemochromatosis. You can’t let these things dictate your life even if they create challenges. Good for you, Dylan and thanks for the follow. I have another blog called ironinmyblood.com.
